REDBULL Lords of the Ring Invitation by 81lions! :D

One of the event I've been pretty busy with is the REDBULL "Lords of the Ring"this coming 22nd November!






Aaaaanyway, this is a BBoy dance event (kof kof... despite the event name, there will be no hobbits involved... kof kof)!





What's a BBoy?

A B-boy or B-girl is a person devoted to hip hop culture, more specifically, bboying/breakdancing. The term originates with the first hip hop DJ, DJ Kool Herc, who, noticing the reaction of some dancers to his playing the part of the record with a drum break, named them beat-boys or B-boys. It quickly came to include any follower of hip hop, identifiable by clothing habits, listening tastes or lifestyle, but has returned in latter years to the more specific usage in connection with dance.

So REDBULL has decided to run a BBoy competition at:

1Borneo, North Atrium
on the 22nd November 2008 (Saturday)
12:00pm to 5:00pm!

Being involved as a co-organiser, Im here to pimp the event of course! XD Im extending this invitation to all Bloggers out there to come for the event & take as many pictures as you like! Among the things to look out for during the event are:

Saw this in Daily Express vacancy section few days back... I just can't help but post about it...




For the benefit of those who cant read / understand Malay (then what the hell are you doing in my blog???). It says:

... ... ... WHAT KIND OF JOB IS THIS??? You have to guess which direction is the bus is turning to & later u get a gift if you turn up for an interview??? WOW~!!! XD

"Enjoy the moment" :)

The truth is I had abit of a "fall out" with my DSLR camera. And there is a story to tell...






There was a "Musical Fireworks at 1 Borneo" some last 2 months ago, which me & Fara thought we'd go & enjoy the scene.

We wanted to go as a normal couple & enjoy the moment... but since the 2 of us has been so used to "covering events" (be it for blog or actual assignment), the moment the fire works started... We suddenly started pulling out our cameras & went to look for a spot that would capture the whole fireworks. After about 10-15 minutes later, the fireworks stopped... ... ... I then I realise... I was some where, but not with my BB.

We spent a few minutes looking for each other among the crowd & when we did... we kinda stood still & wondered for a moment...

"All this *covering of events*, we cover for others... but what about just the 2 of us enjoying the moment?"

The impact of that day had an effect on me. It made me actually put down my camera & try to spend more time with Fara, just as a couple & NOT AS MEDIA CREW anymore. I think BB & I were in a sense, giving our cameras a break.





But recently we have decided to start our own thing & I picked up my camera again. We started going out shooting for some assignments / photo outtings... but this time, we made sure we took time to enjoy what we were experiencing.





We made sure that this time, even while you are "working" you can always spare a few minutes just to enjoy the company of your love ones... ... ... :)

Girls & Guys are very different in many ways.






In fact, sometimes we can "tick" each other off without actually realizing... Well simply because 1 gender will find something very normal while the other gender will not (in fact might label it as rude).

1 example is the reaction by men to women called: "Mmmm..."





No~ not the moaning kind of "Mmmm..." (but I believe that will tick a girl off just as well) XD.

"Mmmm..." is an expression of acknowledging...

or even hesitant...





This is the basic communication method among guys & its a "word saving" code (kof kof... macam high tech konon). Although this is acceptable & "normal" to us men. It is apparently annoying to females.

Out of 10 girl friends, atleast 7 has express their dislike of the Cow-like sound made by men.






But let me help a "brother" & explain... (I hear the male readers screaming NOooooooo). You see, the male brain is made in a way where it cannot multi-task like a women...





Because women transfer so much information to a men... these "information" takes time to download...





& since computers show you that they are downloading via a yellow blinking light... we show you this by ... well "Mmmm-ing".

I mean how else do you want us to respond by? XD






Kof kof... So I hope this explains why guys "Mmmm..." , we are not ignoring you. We ARE responding... got it? :p
