Talk Cock Session: Satu Sabah Black Out~!!!
Tuesday nite, we got another black out... (nothing new) Well ok, atleast this time it wasnt just KK... but the whole Sabah. :p
And apparently this hit the news!
It was on Daily Express too.
Apparently they say its due to some tower that fell & bla bla bla...Black outs are a "custom tradition" in Sabah. It helps us get off work early & gives us the extra excuse to cut traffic.. kof kof... I was at the gym when the black out started...
Luckily I eat alot of carrots & can see in the dark (tak paya pakai 3 green light googles).
I SMS & joked with some members of CSP that the REAL EARTH DAY was today & that we should have choose to FREEZE today instead of yesterday. XD
kof kof indeed...Anyway, I was hungry from gym... it was about 8pm. Fara & I decided to head down to town for food... which we ended in the "Kinabalu Fishing Club" to grab some chicken. There werent any electricity so we had to take whatever there was in the counter... ... ...
After the meal, went to Lintas for a drink & eventually meet up with Dino & Amie who happen to be near by.
picture credit to bobidom.comYou know, not having electricity really sucks... but on the bright side, we become less distracted that way. I remember back in the old days where KK "black outs" where much frequent & longer. Each black out would last for about 3 to 5 hours...
Back then my family would just sigh & gather in the living room. Parents would be sitting there nagging, bro would be there annoyed with mosquitos & I'd be there trying to fan myself from the heat.
Anyway the power came back around 10+ pm. At that moment, everyone just suddenly went back to what they were doing. Which made me think that how we humans are starting to REEeeeeaally act like robots ... when the power is "on", we watch TV, surf the net, play games... anything but talk to another human being... only when there isnt power that we behave a differently.

Eh satu sabah kah that? When i called my dad that day, he said Tambunan and Membakut ada karan pulak..(My sis and uncle live there)
My Ummi called and this was how the conversation went.
Ummi: Bam, ada karan ka sana KL?
Me: Ada Mi. Kenapa? Sana mati karan?
Ummi: Iya. Bah okayla Bam. (She hangs up).
I was so flustered that I called her again and she laughed and said she just wanted to make sure I was okay cause the whole Sandakan mati karan.
I heard Beaufort didn't affected.
However, blame it on the 'pencuri besi'. For just RM 6 per kg, they caused the whole Sabah suffer.
SLURP???
this was brilliant. and actual Earth (FIVE) Hours. Who says Sabah doesn't care about the environment? They took Earth Hour over the limit and went into darkness for more than the 60 minutes. Owh yea. They got it on the wrong day and month.
