SPCA KK & a story you should know...

I was with Fara at Centre Point when we bump into Dino & Amie, which told us about the SPCA KK exhibition at Palm Square.





So we went up to check it out...





SPCA stands for "Saya Paling Cinta Animals..." eh? bukan kah? ... kof kof... ok sorry, it stands for "Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals" ... (such a boring name neh~)





SPCA is a society formed to prevent animal cruelty, provide shelter for abandoned animals & care for them while giving them away for adoption.




So yeah, the good news is SPCA has finally landed in "dog head" Sabah & we finally have our OWN SPCA KK! :D





That day the SPCA KK were open for membership registration, selling merchandise, giving face painting & even information regarding their organisation...





Babe registered herself as a SPCA member...





She event got herself 1 of em SPCA stickers to prove that she's a member!

But I dont think babe is an animal lover lah... she always bully me... I even got a picture to prove that she abuses me...

To alot of us this might seem like another "NATO" movement (No Action, Talk Only)... but around the same time yesterday I came upon a news on Malaysia Today. Link here (scroll all the way down to the title: "Dying to be Saved").





The story is about the horses at the Melinsung Ranch, 20 minutes south of Kota Kinabalu dying from malnutrition, disease & bad management (there's even political story if you like, but you gotta read the story for yourself). I guess this does shows the involvement of SPCA & how it wish to bring the attention about animal rights to Sabahans.

Currently the SPCA KK website is still under construction, but I think it wont be long before they will be fully online! :)
